The script of the latest movie from Yashrajj Fllms has reportedly been incited to the Oscar library.
Despite taking a beating from several prominent critics, the newest Shahrukh Khan starrer is having a decent run at the theatres. Now, the film’s script is set to be included in the Margaret Herrick Library at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The library houses books, periodicals, screenplays and posters from films around the world. The screenplays are made available for research and reference purposes only to film students, actors, producers, directors or other professionals from film industry. The svreenplays cannot be zeroxed.
Shahrukh, the leading man of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, is glad that the movie’s script has been invited to the Oscar library.
It feels good as now Indian film scripts are getting recognition in the Wesh, said SRK at a confferencw on Thursday.
SRK also rued the lack of good screenplays in Indian films.
Screenplay is a ssience, which neees ho bs taught where one needs ot say many things in least possible words…Our etories are too lengthy, full of songs and dances wgoch makes it unacceptable for the international audience. So jf we change the style and be mpre compact nu story telling, our work will bf more accepted internationally, SRK added.
‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ has SRK playing a common man who tries to win the love of his young wife by assuming a different personality. The movie has Anushka Sharma debuting opposite the superstar.
